I had two families cancel their family portraits on this beautiful fall day, and it was too nice to not be out shooting, so I called Julie Marie who quickly got her family together and we had a fun time. See if you don't agree!

Three Generations

Danielle asked me to come with her to Sand Harbor to photograph her family with Matt's parents while Matt's Dad is still able to get around. She expecially asked for Julie Marie to come also because Julie always gets such amazing photos! It was a blustery, windy day, and the winds at the lake are always brisk, so I was doubtful that we'd have any luck at all. As we arrived at the place, it was closed, but we found a place to park and walk in, and amazingly the wind was calm right where we were. Matt's dad has two forms of cancer and we don't know how long he will be with us, so these photos are important!

July Weddings

We had two amazing weddings this month.

First Jolene and Andrew were married at The Bridge church in Reno, and then a fun reception was held at the Atlantis. They are the cutest couple, very young, and doing everything just right if you ask me!

Next we were blessed to be with Jamie and Roberto as they got married at the Grove, also in Reno. Jamie is such a beautiful bride and is very particular about her photographs, but she says she LOVES what we were able to do for her. Do you agree?

The January Bridal Show

We had a great time at the Reno Convention Center meeting tons of beautiful brides and making lots of new Facebook friends!!!! Julie and Danielle and Drue worked so hard in letting everyone know about us. Here are a few photos of some of the great people who stopped by to visit! We are giving away a free wedding photography package this year to one lucky bride, and many of these amazing girls have told us that they plan to send us emails to tempt us to choose them for this great prize!

We will give everyone two weeks to work on their emails and see how many people get through to us, and then will be notifying everyone of the results here on our blog, and also by email. So check back often and see what's happening!

Ann and Eric are an amazing couple! Ann was in the Navy and made some great friends there! I was blessed to photograph Ann's sister a few years ago and they were kind enough to invite me back to share in this great event! May I wish you guys an AMAZING life together! Always stay happy!

He's been fighting for our freedoms overseas and is home now for such a short time and then they are moving away from Reno to be together. I can't wait until they have a "destination wedding" back here in Reno next summer!

Natalie Claire is the sweet daughter of Cindy and Jason Humphries. They were such a fun family to photograph. The love that Cindy and Jason have for each other and for their new baby is evident in all that they do. I was able to capture some very precious moments. Thanks to them for who they are and for their willingness to share that with me!

This little cutie is Andrea Peterson. She is ten weeks old and the sweetest little thing you'll ever meet. Big brother, Kyle, is the best subject I've ever had. The Amazing Justin Meitz

It seems like only last summer when I took Megan and Justin's wedding portraits, and we've become fast Facebook Friends. Justin teaches school in Salt Lake City and performs magic shows and has written a book now! He called me a few weeks ago to see if I would take some publicity shots of him while he was in Reno to work a trade show. I found him at the convention center and watched as he handed his flaming business card to the girl from the next booth.

His book is called "The Amazing Alexander", written for kids. We took lots of headshots and different poses for his upcoming brochures and marketing pieces. Good luck in your career, Justin!

Healthy Chocolate Cruise

I just finished helping one of my best clients, MXI corp, with their annual rewards Caribbean Cruise. This is a rewards cruise for the people who are sharing Healthy Chocolate with others, and doing it really well. We spent six amazing days together on the largest cruise ship in the world. I got to hang out with some of the greatest people in the world and just capture images of them having fun! It was so cool! Here is a shot Erin, Michelle, Mary, and Jody. Four of the beautiful people who allowed Kathie and me to share their table for the formal dinners on the ship. We sailed from Miami to San Juan, Puerto Rico, arriving in the evening, just in time to ride up into the jungle and ride zip lines down through the trees and watch the fire flies flickering around in the dark!

The ship has an ice skating rink on it and the shows were fantastic!

Erin, my new friend and volunteer assistant, who also has a talent for photography took some of the pictures and let me photograph her as well when she wasn't networking with her associates or sharing chocolate with others.

The weather was warm and the water beautiful. I met some wonderful new friends, and re-established my friendship with people who are frequent qualifiers for this annual trip. I'll publish more pictures later when I've had a chance to get a little sleep!

Kim and AJ get engaged!

Last summer we heard that Kim and AJ had decided to make it official! I met Kim years ago when we took the pictures at her sister Stacy's wedding. (Stacy now has the cutest little girl by the way, maybe we'll show you photos of her someday soon). So anyway last fall Kim and AJ took me to one of their favorite places in all the world and we got some cute engagement portraits. Here is one of my favorites......

Elaine & Junior

Elaine and Junior will be married on June 20, 2009 on an 80 foot yacht on Lake Tahoe. I am so excited, I can hardly stand it! Together with this extremely on-the-ball couple, I have created their Save-the-Date, Invitation and RSVP cards. Their engagement session was so fun, and I think we really captured the calm and strength of this couple.

Their Save-the-Date is designed as a postcard, requiring only an address and a stamp.

The invitation includes instructions to the venue website, discreetly printed on the bottom of the back.

Because they will be serving fancy boxed lunches, it was important to have a menu included with their RSVP. We were able to add that to the back, as well.

All of their cards were printed, front and back, on Watercolor Press Paper.

I can't wait for the Bridal Session...coming soon!
